Omar Hunter to Florida

from a very reliable source.

The wheels are coming off the Weis wagon. Even the koolaid drinkers of NDNation are supporting a Weis termination now.

Aspirational Peer Cup Standings

After taking down Duke, we're well on our way to the aspirational peer trophy. Since we've already lost the CoC trophy with losses to two of the three US service acadmies this year it's the best we can hope for.

When we beat Stanford it's ours.

Stanford had no comment. They didn't even know they were in a competition.

OF course, we should observe a moment of silence for what we've given up as a school to try to move up in the aspirational peer cup.

Best poetry ever.

Stanford Preview

COACH
ND: Weis
Stanford: Harbaugh
Harbaugh pisses off Michigan and beats USC.
Weis loses to Michigan 38-0 and loses to USC 38-0.

Stanford: Some guy I've never heard of
ADVANTAGE: Stanford

OFFENSIVE LINE
ND: Doesn't have one

Stanford: Light applause as Stanford beats Pete Carroll.
ADVANTAGE: Draw

RUNNING GAME
ND: 119th out of 119 D-1A teams
Stanford: better. I don't need to waste time looking it up.

PASSING GAME
(See RUNNING GAME, Above)

Stanford will win going away.

Weis pulls miracle, beats Duke at home

In the first home since Army over a year ago, Charlie Weis lucked into victory.

What though the odds be great or small. Old Notre Dame will win over all. The odds weren't exactly small as the oddsmakers had it as a pick-um at a nuetral site. Clausen looked poorly coached. I can't understand why any QB would want to come into the system. No blocking, no development, just an impending injury and a future as Notre Dame's QB coach when Powlus retires.

Let's hope Crist wasn't watching this year. Well, one half of me hopes he wasn't so he comes to ND. Another half sees a good kid who doesn't deserve to turn into another Powlus or Clausen.

In other news, there's some new premium info regarding Rudolph's probable decommit. I'm not going to divluge other's premium work and open myself up to lawsuits, but if you're a member at rivals, go take a look. Or just look a few posts down for the basics.

New Sagarin Computer rankings are out

Most consider the Sagarin computer to be the most accurate predictor used in the BCS computations.

1. Kansas
2. LSU
3. Oregon
(3-99 omitted)
100. Yale
101. Villanova
102. Southern Missouri
103. Notre Dame
104. South Dakota State
105. Hofstra
106. Georgia Southern

Notre Dame is the 103rd best team in the land behind 17 1-AA schools, every BCS school, all three US academies, several Ivy League schools that don't award athletic scholarships, and both opponents left on the schedule.

We're 1-9 and are home dogs to Duke. Anyone want to defend Weis?

Good Weis write up

Several members of CanCharlie nation sent me this write up this morning.

It's not half bad.

Down goes Notre Dame

The Zoomies made quick work of the Irish gaining a quick 10 point lead in route to a blowout game that wasn't as close as the scored indicates. ND was never in it after it was 17-10.

Weis made some more boneheaded playcalls, but he didn't achieve Navy levels of incompetence. No 4th and 14 Evan Sharpley fake field goal sweeps with no receivers going out, but stupid calls nonetheless.

Next up, Duke. We see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Weis, master of recruiting?

There are rumors from people who are supposedly close to the situations that a number of recruits who committed before ND started its run at a 1 win season are seriously reconsidering their verbals.

Though there are others considering jumping, word is that 4 star tight end Kyle Rudolph is already out the door.

Duval Kamara out due to academics

according to Charlie's presser.

At least Ty was good about keeping the boys in good academic shape and graduating them.

By the numbers

9 losses for the first time in ND history with no end in sight
Should be 10 if not for lucky injuries at UCLA.
Total Offense: 207 Yards/gm, 119th in NCAA 1-A (of 119 teams)
Rush: 54 Yards/gm, 119th
Pass: 152 Yards/gm 73rd
Yards Allowed: 370 Yards/gm, 59th
Points Allowed: 32/gm, 90th
Points Scored: 13.5/gm, 119th
Sacks Allowed: 51, 119th

I'll stop here, but the list goes on. Weis must go.

Just in from South Bend

Charlie Weis is still ND head coach.

Air Force Academy will win this afternoon and it won't be competitive. Bet your house.

When we fire White

We should make sure Monk-o Mall-o never comes back. This is my era of Notre Dame?

We fired Ty because he got blown out a lot? correct?

I'll leave out the other blowout highlights.

I'm accustomed to Weis making decent teams (USC, Michigan, LSU, OSU) look legendary.

I'm accustomed to Weis making bad teams (MSU, PSU, Purdue) look good.

But I haven't quite come around to this:

Bob Weisingham regime ladies and gentlemen.

New Sheriff in Town

I've bought the cancharlie.com name from a kid who had been using it as a joke website.

Under our deal, I cannot reveal his identity, but if anyone was wondering the check went to Southern California.

I'm an '94 ND graduate and I care deeply about returning ND to glory.

Updates to follow.
