New Sagarin Computer rankings are out

Most consider the Sagarin computer to be the most accurate predictor used in the BCS computations.

1. Kansas
2. LSU
3. Oregon
(3-99 omitted)
100. Yale
101. Villanova
102. Southern Missouri
103. Notre Dame
104. South Dakota State
105. Hofstra
106. Georgia Southern

Notre Dame is the 103rd best team in the land behind 17 1-AA schools, every BCS school, all three US academies, several Ivy League schools that don't award athletic scholarships, and both opponents left on the schedule.

We're 1-9 and are home dogs to Duke. Anyone want to defend Weis?

I remember when this site was supposed to be a joke back when it was created in '05. Well, no one's laughing now.

Yeah ND beat Duke. Everyone smiling on the sidelines and happy to be a member of the ND football team. Charlie has shown his arrogance by letting Tom "Im a Punk " Zibokowski play QB on a few downs. He was more intrested in fighting the Duke defenders who tackled him then trying the arm and speed at QB. It's DUKE....no reason to be cocky. Weis needs to go

charlie weis is not the answer to Notre Dame. He must be let go!! It is the Faust Era all over again...F U Charlie!!!!

all you morons seem to forget 2 years in a BCS game. 9 freshmen starting this weekend. Show me any program winning starting 9 freshmen. Didnt think so

For the record, Georgia Southern is a FCS/formerly Div. I-AA team!? :)

This just in, New Orleans wants to offer Charlie a new contract. Do you think the alumni would like to renegotiate now?

Please keep charlie for another 7 years. By then Notre Dame will move from 2nd in all time wins to 4th or lower.

You all need to get lives. Move out of your parents basements, and grow a pair. What a bunch of pathetic, whiney bitches.

Also, all your shit about "recruits jumping ship" is bullshit. Where the hell do you do your research? Oh wait, no where. In between bouts of furious anime-porn watching and games of Dungeons and Dragons, you manage to peruse the internet for 8 minutes and write some assinine story on your shit-tastic blog.

Get a real fucking hobby.

Gee I don't live in my parents basements, but it does appear n.d. fans have been living in a time capsule. Football is done at n.d., stick a fork in it.

As of the start of the 2007 season, the top 10 colleges in all time wins were:

1. Michigan 860
2. Notre Dame 821
3. Nebraska 803
4. Texas 810
5. Ohio St. 786
6. Penn St. 781
7. Alabama 780
8. Oklahoma 768
9. Tennessee 761
10. Southern California 743

So in the next 2 years n.d. will move on down to 5th all time and at the end of the 10 year Weis joke. They will be getting near being out of the top 10.

N.D. has not been a factor in major football for 2 decades. 15 years without a bowl win and counting.

7 home games versus 5 away games and they still can't win.

Finally, there are plenty of good freshmen starting at winning football programs. Just not win n.d.

So Sagarin ranks us below the two teams we beat? Perhaps "Most" will comment on why this doesn't vitiate his methodology. Or why we should care about it to begin with.

But I'm betting that he doesn't know what "vitiate" means.

Here is how rankings work. Just because you win 2 games, that does not make you bowl elgible. For instance Missouri which lost to Oklahoma is ranked ahead of them, because Oklahoma has more losses. So the ranking is based on the fact that n.d. is a looser(s). It is exciting you may win up to 3 games this year. Maybe next year you can shoot for being ranked in the top 100.

This site really helps... It actually sets ND back... Especially if the potential recruits see this site... Yes, ND has been terrible... Charlie has made mistakes... Last I check, Only God does not make mistakes.. Unless he considers making you (the site admin)...
We would have been lucky if we could have won 4 games this year with this team. Mark May had them 1-7 to start... They are young... We are playing against some teams with 5th SRs on the lines & as QBs... Support the team... True Fans do NOT throw in the towel... I hate to have you in a fox hole... It will be rewarding to see the kids step it up the next couple of years...

Hey true fan. The obvious point you are missing is that Charlie came to N.D. and stated that he will put into place an offense like no other in the nation. Then after 5 games into his 5 year contract, New Orleans made him an offer. He then went back to N.D. and ask to re-negotiate and got a 10 year deal. It would cost $25 million to buy him out. Thus, trully he could care less about winning, he has his money gauranteed, and N.D. gets their money gauranteed from NBC and neither have to win a thing.

Any jackass who thinks that the result of this season is Charlie's fault should run, right now, into the nearest wall and continue to do so until they realize that the real reason why we are 2-9 is that we lost 8 starters on defense and 9 starters on offense. I'm not saying that the coaching staff is having issues but the blame should be spread around to all the returning 5th year seniors who have done absolutely nothing this year (and that was directed straight to you, Zibokowski). Maybe if the schedule had some fluff teams near the beginning instead of at the end when the team is banged up and demoralized, this might get better. We need to go back to the hard-nosed type football that the Irish were playing back i the late 80's and real early 90's. Plus we need to bring back some of our good rivalries, ND-Miami (Catholics vs. Convicts) for example. Also we need to play our instate rivalries as much as we can...Purdue, IU, Ball Sate... because these teams are up and comming and they would be good games early in the season.

If anyone has any comments on what I said, you can email me @ Go"F"Yourself.com

Interesting thoughts. Florida lost the same amount on offense and defense and had freshmen starters on both sides of the ball, but amazingly with a true sophmore quarterback they are ranked in the BCS.
Yes back to the 80's, 20 years of irrelevence.
The real issue is that N.D. needs to join a conference. Thus, rivaly games will matter. Playing to be a spoiler for a conference title team, etc. With N.D.'s arrogance, they get their NBC money, Charlie gets his millions and neither need to produce anything.
